Compton Acres Optometrists are professional NHS optometrists in Compton Acres Shopping Centre in West Bridgford.
We perform NHS and Private Eye Examinations for everyone adhering to the Opticians Act. We prescribe all types of high quality spectacles, fitting safe healthy contact lenses and sell many eye accessories. We promote good health and good vision in the community.
We are contact lens professionals fitting all types of contact lenses for all ages including all soft lenses and many gas permeable designs. We routinely fit contact lenses for children and to almost everbody – even to correct even reading problems.
Our mission statement is to be ‘focused on the needs of the customer’ – we do this an a secure, clean and safe environment for all with a professional manner at all times.
We do this consistently. Politeness and courtesy being at the core of our values with full explanations and options being presented to many differing types of customer. Our passion is to provide luxury and innovative products for less money to our all our customers NHS and private whilst putting the high quality low cost ( where possible ) healthcare needs of the patient above everything. We always give out specifications and receipts.
● All NHS patients are provided with FREE eye tests and spectacles if deemed needed under the NHS guidelines.
● We offer sports glasses Ray Bans and Polariod also curved lenses and saftey glasses , Swimming goggles , sunglasses prescription eyewear and sun wear.
● We offer low vision services with both opticians have , DVLA testing , VDUI eye tests and Corporate eye care, a full reglaze service the public can reglaze their own frames.
● We are proud and passionate about our children’s eye care and have a robust chaperone policy – we aim to provide children with the best start in life as so many children benefit from regular eye tests – we provide contact lenses for children and actively promote good eye care for children leading to better quality of life.
● Our glaucoma testing equipment is up to NICE guidelines with a custom field machine that prints out results and is particularly sensitive for glaucoma . We use different methods for assessing intraocular pressure.
● Our thoroughly modern office has computerized eye testing charts that children and adults can use an electronic medicines database , a special visual field machine that allows DVLA testing and is sensitive to early glaucoma ; and other innovative features that
